My mother was afraid that’s why I didn’t join the Army, His mother was afraid yet he still joined the Army!

There was a guy in our class who would top each and every exam. Also he was good at extracurricular activities.
He would always take part in every function just to make his presence feel lol.
He was the teacher’s favourite as always toppers are.

In 12th he got good grades and was planning to move to a different city for higher studies.
He already applied and got selected but in the last movement he cancelled.
The reason
He actually met one girl who recently got transferred into our class. And they started talking and eventually fell in love.
Now, because his girlfriend didn’t want him to leave that college. He chose to stay in his old school only.
And i often heard people gossiping about how she would ditch him when college will be over.
But to our utter surprise, they actually broke up in the first semester only.
Everyone was not really suprised, because we all saw it coming. đ
And now, he’s lost, he don’t even attend classes, come to college and even his grades are falling miserably.
The same teacher’s who used to appreciate him now ask him to attend classes and study.
Basically, he’s stuck in his life, still figuring out what to do.
Chase your dreams not people
Your goals must be your outmost priority.
Update : I recently got to know that he has already left the college and shifted to another city and finally joined his dream college. He is all set to start a new life and achieve his goals.
The one who was the topper of our school was not always a topper. He became the topper of our school after the 11th grade, after his breakup with his girlfriend.

Ahh! Teenage breakups can give you a lot of motivation, so give it a try at least once(Tumre andr se awaaz ayega âthukra ke mera pyar intekaam dekhegiâ ) and I also think that my friend took the lyrics of this song too seriously.
He was an average student in class 11th, scoring 65%, but in class 12th, he scored 97% in the CBSE boards. He had a dream of becoming an army officer, so after the class 12th results, he started preparing for NDA. He was able to clear the paper but not the SSB (because it’s tough to clear on the first attempt). After failing in the NDA, he couldn’t prepare for the next attempt because he was crossing the age limit for the exam. Without wasting much time on his failure to clear NDA, he started preparing for JEE 2023. He got an All India Rank in the lakhs, so he decided to take a second drop for JEE and started preparing for JEE 2024. He studied hard and used to contact me during this time for help regarding the papers. Now, after JEE Mains 2024, he got an All India Rank of 6,708. Some weeks ago, I got a phone call from him and he said that he got a branch in AI and Data Science at NIT Kurukshetra. He also invited me for a party at a restaurant because he is finally going to college.
Besides this all , I am really happy for him that he is finally going to college. He faced a lot of problems, a lot of stress, and a lot of harsh words from his big brother over these 2 years. I am really happy for him.
