What is the scariest planet in our solar system?

Saturn.

(Real image captured by Cassini, 2012)

This planet looks beautiful. It looks like a planet you would love to visit someday and see its size up close.

But like Jupiter, Saturn is uninhabitable and will kill you in a split second.

The temperature on Saturn is -177 C, really cold.

Don’t forget, Saturn has massive storms. These storms can last for months to years. In 2005, there was a massive thunderstorm on Saturn that was 1,000 times more powerful than our thunderstorms on Earth.

Imagine floating on Saturn. Saturn’s atmospheric pressure is 100 times greater than on Earth and it would crush you in a split second.

Don’t forget our friend who crashed into Saturn. Cassini.

In 2017, Cassini plunged into Saturn. Of course, Cassini had no chance of surviving Saturn’s atmospheric pressure.

So Cassini fell. It became part of Saturn’s atmosphere forever.

RIP Cassini. 🙁

In addition to the deadly pressure and temperatures on Saturn, the sounds of Saturn are downright terrifying.

NASA is able to record the sounds of all the planets (including the sun). You might wonder how, since there is no air through which sound can travel. NASA does this by detecting electromagnetic signals coming from the planets.

Be aware that Saturn sounds the scariest. Use headphones for better sound. Saturn at 3:07.

Edit: the YouTube video has been removed, here’s the new one

Just imagine hearing this while on a deserted planet, Saturn. No life. Just deadly storms, and deafening thunder. Not to mention, the creepy atmospheric sounds.

And because of that, Saturn is the most frightening planet.
