I will be writing about the much talked(Publicised ?) about wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.

As an insider of the industry and an attendee to many Bollywood parties, a lot is being spoken about the two of them. Now for people who don’t know PC, she is extremely manipulative and stops at nowhere till she gets what she wants.

Now, a disclaimer is that, she is a good actor and she is a determined woman. I have nothing against her about this and I in fact admire her for this. However, she saw a new low recently.

Everyone knows why PC was left with no choice but to leave for Hollywood. She tried to get in Gauri’s place and Gauri has a very influential network when it comes to the insiders of Bollywood. She is just as good as SRK. PC soon became an outcast in the industry when Gauri along with Karan came against her. She moved to Hollywood and to be frank, Quantico wasn’t a successful series at all. But she had an overenthusiastic PR team that was just too good. They projected her to as being some sort of a success here. They took something like presenting an award alongside Tom Hiddleston and turned it into a rumour that they were seeing each other.

If anything, PC knows how to stay in news. She knew that she was losing her grip in Bollywood and on a public platform, Salman revealed how PC kept calling Arpita (Salman’s sister) to get her a role in Bharat. When she got it, she royally walked out of it citing her marriage.

Now, this is the lowest low she ever hit.

Nick is a famous star however, he could do with more publicity. He isn’t that famous in India as compared to say, Miley Cyrus or any of his contemporaries. And PC has to stay in headlines and also drive away the controversy about the last episode of Quantico and her series of being labelled as a hypocrite(which she is). They dated for 2 months and decided to get married. No problem with that. But these are the facts that make us believe all this is a setup.

• Excessive brand promotions: They met because of “Ralph Lauren” , went on their first date to <insert a hotel chain name that is being mentioned more than is needed>. He closing down an entire “Tiffany” store to shop for a ring, her throwing her bachelorette party wearing <so and so>, sponsored by <So and so> at Tiffany’s store and then more parties at Tiffany’s. And then, that amazon registry. No harm in having a wedding registry. Sharing on pyblic platform when guests aren’t general public (clearly) and then excessively boasting about amazon and its services.
• The timings: This is just sooo sooo off. I mean they have been together for 3 months before getting married this December. And he apparently proposed a couple of months back. In these mere months of being together, they had time to do photoshoots, plan an entire wedding(Deepika took almost an entire year off to plan hers. Even though there’s wedding planners and all, 1 month is just too less of a time for a wedding of that scale), give interviews to Vogue and all, attend every damn public event together (Preparation for these take longer than what most people think) and then negotiate deals with all hundreds of brands. Also, apparently the wedding dress and lehenga took more than 3000 hours to make which is a good 4 months easily. But he didn’t even propose by then. Also, PC gave order for a lehenga with Sabyasachi almost immediately after they have claimed to have started dating. His Ralph Lauren suit was that way too. Same case with Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. It was like they had planned on getting married and got together. The Roka ceremony was staged.
• Lastly, we know PC as a person. Though she is driven, she would do just about anything to get there. Striking a deal with People’s magazine for the wedding photos was one such stunt. Also, if you notice the pictures, they just don’t seem genuine. NIck looks uncomfortable for the most part and PC is with her signature smile (which a lot of insiders hate). PC always try to pander to people who are the so called industry biggies and this includes that excessive laughing and acting as if everyone’s her closest friends. Not to mention a lot of people feel she is desperate to come across as as American as possible: That fake accent and her vibe in usual.

I know this sounded like an extremely spiteful post and a lot of you who admire her are gonna say that I am just putting this up because we cannot handle her success. Trust me, I like the actor Priyanka Chopra. She is a great actor but just not a very good person with an excellent PR team.
