I see no evidence that Trump has said anything about the Falklands lately, let alone the laughable claim in the question.
As it is, the US is not “protect[ing] the British from the Argentinians” in any way, shape or form, so them not doing something they are not actually doing does not change the situation one iota. Argentina simply lacks the naval and air assets to attack, let alone invade the Islands, and the British forces stationed there are more than capable of dealing with a much higher level of threat than Argentina is actually capable of delivering.

Now here’s where the Brits are wise, they’ve made friends with many of the most important and infuential presidents in history…not all history obviously. They didn’t threaten the Brits, they worked together and of course both had reasons for the advantage, that’s not in dispute.
The Falklands…are not in dispute. It’s British Sovereign territory, there was a war over it. Brits defeated an invasion force. End of. But it isn’t is it?

So the way I see it…from an impartial point of view of course is that Trump talks out of his arse, the Brits will get all uppity for a while and debate but it will die down with a teabreak. They’ll laugh a lot and every Halloween some smart arse will be wearing a Trump mask.

Never. The yanks didn’t protect the falklands in 82 nor would they in 2024. The argentine army, navy and airforce are a shell of its 1982 self, if they can get even close to the shores of the falklands it would be seconds before all ships and aircraft get blown out of the skies by the RAF stationed at mount pleasant.
The british on the other hand are stronger than we’ve ever been with the L85A3 weapon system, virtus gear and the stealth and bvr capabilities on the F35 Lightning II working in conjunction with the two Queen Elizabeth class carriers. We may be lacking in personnel, but something we ain’t lacking in is tech and its only going up and up with the ajax and chally 3 coming in the next few years.
