Yes, it doesn’t go well for the tank.
This was a Panzer IV after it was introduced to a shell from HMS Rodney. Let’s not forget these shells are going to be HE unless the ship is firing at a bunker so they don’t penetrate as much as an APC shell but they’re still more than enough to overmatch a tank.
Imagine a tank being hit by a Ford Fiesta traveling at 600 mph that’s the kind of kinetic impact these shells make so even if the armour breaks up the shell body the shock transferred into the tank is likely to kill the crew and set off ammo.
