Normally I love statistics and data. I’m never afraid to pack my answers with numbers.
But in this case, I’m going with my anecdotal experience. Others have already linked enough numbers.
Why do I think Trump is a liar? My father is one of the most honest and honorable men I have ever encountered. A 28 year Navy Captain, charitable giver, coacher of every soccer and Little League team. We often disagree on politics, but I cannot fault his integrity. I watched my entire life as he gave without asking in return. Honest to a fault. And trust me, it has cost him. He’s like Ned Stark really (except he still has his head.)
Donald Trump lied to my father. My father got in a real estate deal with Donald Trump. And Donald Trump broke every promise he could. And Donald Trump somehow walked away with all his money, and my father lost his investment.
Well, my dad may be honest, but he also doesn’t back down easy. So he fought back. He gathered with a few others who Trump had also deceived in the deal, and they sued. Trump denied everything. Trump attempted to make the suit very difficult. But my dad didn’t back down. And when it became clear my dad would unflinchingly ride it all the way, Trump caved. Because he knew his lies would not hold up in court.
Well, that brings forth yet another Trump lie. Remember when Trump said he “never settled” when sued? Yep, another lie. Because he settled.

Let’s see.
Promised to defeat ISIS in 30 days. That was a lie.
Promised better and cheaper healthcare for all. A lie.
Said he would release his tax returns. Big lie.
Said he would reduce deficits. Huge lie.
Said he would reduce the nation’s debt. Whopper lie!
Said he would end discrimination in the US. Total lie.
Said Mexico would pay for his wall. Hysterical lie.
Said Obama was born in Kenya. Admitted to that lie.
Said he would grow the economy by 6%. Lie (2.8%)
Said Mexico took 30% of US auto business. Lie.
Said Twitter blocked access to him. Lie.
Said the UK is the America’s biggest trade partner. Lie.
Said he would increase taxes on the rich. Lie.
Said he would protect preexisting coverage. Lie.
Said China would pay his tariffs. Lie.
Said Michael Flynn didn’t lie. Big lie.
Said he didn’t know/pay Stormy Daniels. Lie.
Said he has largest number of border arrests. Lie.
Oh, hell, I could be at this all day and well into next week. His forest of lies is vast and tall.
Recently someone dared me to name just one lie Donald told that “hurt” someone. This fellow acknowledged that DT fudged facts or exaggerated at times, but as far as “lies that hurt anyone” – he categorically denied that Donald did this.
So – I answered him, in no particular order:
First lie: “Birtherism.” Trump kept insisting over the space of years that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. A total lie; it could’ve very well influenced the election in ’08 and ’12 had enough people believed it. The fact that it didn’t, and that Obama handily won both elections, goes to show how superior a candidate Obama was, and that no one (with any sense & intelligence) believed Trump’s idiotic lie.
Second lie: the Central Park 5: This horrific lie concerned the five black youths who were accused of raping a white woman in Central Park, but they were EXONERATED by DNA EVIDENCE 13 years later. However, all through the years since the crime happened in 2002 (the police finally caught the real perpetrator by the way), Trump INSISTED that they were guilty. He even took out full-page ads in a N.Y. newspaper stating that they were guilty! EVEN NOW he does not admit that they’re innocent! I am sure this causes a LOT of pain to the young men and their families.
Third lie: Middle-eastern terrorists among the “Caravan”: WHAAAAT?? He claimed that Middle-Eastern terrorists were among the bedraggled refugees fleeing terror in their home countries in Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, where people are being killed left and right by gangs)! Is he nuts???? Most of the refugees are families, fleeing with just about the shirts on their backs!! Has he NO empathy??? Apparently not! You know, he implies that people trying to get into the US are all ILLEGAL. But they’re not; they are allowed by law to claim asylum. Most ‘illegals’ are simply people who stayed too long on their visitors’ visas. Anyway: This is a scurrilous, crazy lie, told to whip up hatred of immigrants in his base, to get them onside with his xenophobic beliefs. Crazy. The U.S. was founded by immigrants, for Pete’s sake!!!! TWO OF HIS OWN WIVES ARE IMMIGRANTS.
Fourth lie: He’s a draft-dodger. “Bone spurs”??? Riiiiight. So maybe someone went to Vietnam in his place…and got wounded or killed? Know what I mean? Coward!
Fifth lie+++: He’s an adulterer many times over. Example: Isn’t it nice that he was screwing Stormy Daniels while Melania was home nursing baby Barron, just a few months old? You don’t think she was hurt by this?? And don’t tell me other presidents also were adulterers. We’re TALKING ABOUT YOUR PAL TRUMP here.
Sixth lie++++++: He is a CROOK: he CHEATED people out of thousands of dollars each at his fake university: NY Attorney General: Trump University Is a Straight Up Fraud Case

Seventh lie: “Mexicans are rapists and murderers”… REALLY?? ALL of them??????? How would that lie have made you feel IF YOU WERE MEXICAN?
There was lots more that I thought of, but I was too tired to continue typing.
So those are a few of the reasons some people call Donald Trump a liar.
