If China sends a large number of warships to Japanese waters, will the Japanese be afraid of the power of the Chinese?

If the Chinese send warships into Japanese waters, will that scare the Japanese? I do not believe the Japanese will be intimidated by any means.

They would follow protocol and send ships and aircraft to promptly tell the Chinese to change course. They should give it a few attempts before locking onto the Chinese ships. The Japanese are committed to duty. This has nothing to do with bushido, also known as the samurai code. This is all about the job and following orders.

They don’t play and understand that they will be at war with China eventually.

China has repeatedly sent warships into the Sea of Japan. In June 2022, the Liaoning aircraft carrier, along with the Type 055 destroyer (Nanchang ship) and several other frigates, made the first-ever passage through the Second Island Chain and entered the southwestern economic waters of Japan, which drew great attention from the Japanese side.

In September 2022, the 055-class destroyer “Nanchang” led the fleet into the Sea of Japan and conducted joint exercises with the Russian side, demonstrating their strategic collaboration capabilities.

What can Japan do? Apart from enduring silently, what else can it do? To fight with China, I’m sure the entire Japanese navy would be destroyed.

Additionally, you can also refer to the 055-class destroyer formation of the Chinese Navy (with the “Zunyi Ship” as the core) which completed its first strategic circumnavigation of Australia from February to March 2025. This action attracted widespread attention from the international community.

The Chinese Navy not only went there, but also held military exercises there and instructed all passing aircraft to make detours.

Australia’s eyes suddenly became very gentle and obedient.
