Yes, he absolutely will, as will Bush 1 (see Edit below), Bush 2, Clinton, and Carter (see edit below). There is no doubt in my mind that they will all go to jail.
The X-presidents have a bit of a fraternity once they are out of office. Despite their political differences and the fiery rhetoric towards each other, they seem to enjoy each other’s company after they get out of office. So, it stands to reason, that all of them, as long as they are alive and well enough to do it, will go visit Trump in prison.
Bush 2 is trying to be a painter. I bet he will find it interesting to try and recreate the subtle differences in orange tones between Trump’s skin and his prison jumper.
At $130,000 payoffs per pop, I bet Stormy Daniels will drop in (on) him in prison too, for his conjugal visits. We sure know Melania won’t be.
I’m going to help all the rude and unobservant responders here. Before another one of you sends me a note saying “Bush Sr is dead (or now Carter is dead), so how could he go to jail?”, look at when this was written (7 years ago) vs when Bush 1 and Carter died. Do the subtraction.
Also, for the ones who responded that “this aged like milk”, no, it did not. It is right on. Trump was convicted of 34 felonies, by a JURY of his peers, co-selected by HIS LAWYERS. He was days away from sentencing and being tossed in the clink for the rest of his stupid, corrupt, criminal life, when millions of voters, who don’t seem to care about crime or morality, put him back into power. Unbelievable. If this aged like milk, then it is a fine expensive cheese…
For those who feel the need to question me for the opening line, of “yes he will”, please read the whole post before commenting. Even though I’m a registered independent, and former registered republican, you may find we agree on this one point.
For all those who called me a “libtard”, first, grow up. I know your brain stopped aging at 9yo, but try. I am a long-time registered independent who has voted for many people on both sides. I have nothing against conservative values, and in truth, most of my friends are republicans.
My beef is with one man, Donald Trump, who is such a disgusting human being, regardless of party affiliation. MAGA is ruining what used to be a decent political party, and has introduced a new level of rudeness, stupidity, violence, and immorality that is destroying America.
I may have the same kinds of disagreements politically with people like Pence or Vance, but I would happily live with them in office, because they are principled human beings that aren’t pushing our country towards civil war.
Now let’s inquire further.
Why are Trump enthusiasts so fixated on Obama and Hillary? The former will never be president again (more’s the pity) and the latter will never be president — maybe because of America’s winning combination of racism, antifeminism, nativism, naïveté about the possibility of “‘their’ jobs coming back,” and raw stupidity, or maybe because of that and the increasingly well-documented interference of a foreign power.
But you won. And you were going to do so much winning.
What’s the matter, pumpkin? Helsinki wasn’t a win? Caged kids wasn’t a win? The world is only transformed insofar as we’ve alienated our allies and cozied up to tyrants and strongmen? You’re still mostly poor? America’s still got plenty of snowflakes in it, waving signs?
Not enough of a victory? Awwwww.
The right’s almost sexual fixation with the bygone and the vanquished says exactly one thing: They’ve got little to nothing good to boast about in the present.
I’ll believe you think you backed the right criminal when you have the balls to stop talking about irrelevant persons. We didn’t try Bush for war crimes, nor Cheney, nor Rumsfeld. We didn’t send the predatory lenders of the real estate crash of 2008 to jail—one of them wrote Trump’s tax plan. Obama towers above these figures morally and legally.
Your guy will get away with it too — but only because he’s just abused his power to appoint a SCOTUS justice while actively under investigation for some serious crimes — a justice who’s very publicly decided presidents are above the law. Aren’t you proud?
