Many people believe cats aren’t as faithful as dogs.Actually, that is a false fact spread out by ailurophobics. Cats are unpredictable creatures with a strong sense of self-importance.They are undeniably narcissistic.
Cats and dogs think quite differently. A dog believes I’m glad because my master is special. A cat believes my master should be glad since I am special.
What makes a cat’s love so unique? A dog will adore whoever adopts or pets it. However, a cat does not love in that sense. A cat can eat your food but prefers to be petted by someone else.A cat choosing you is one of the greatest joys. Not every cat adores their owners. However, not all cats disliked their owners. It completely depends on your vibe and the level of protection you want to provide your cat.
Cats are incredibly sensitive; if you yell at them for even a second, they lose their sense of security. Sometimes they might even run away. Cats love is highly conditional. They only love if you pay attention to them, pet them when they approach you, feed them anything they desire, and follow their wishes. They enjoy boundaries , but won’t let you enjoy your boundaries.
Catâs develop their love over time. Their love and trust are difficult to win.

My best friend died three years ago

I’d had her for 13 years. She was 17 when she died. She had multiple organ failure. We had been away on a Scout camp and in the weeks preceding, she had been a little off her food. Nothing out of the ordinary, she was always fussy when it got hot. Anyway, on Sunday when we got back we weren’t greeted with an annoyed, attention less cat. Odd, scouted the house nowhere to be found. After three hours of panic, I found her, listless in my wardrobe, on top of my favourite jumper. Straight to the vets, speed limits obviously observed (not). Left her overnight, went home and absolutely bawled my heart out for a few hours.
Mid-morning the day after get a phone call. She had picked up. Pick her up with some meds. The prognosis was not great but bring her home and make her comfy. A week later, kids were in school, thankfully, the wife and I came home from shopping to her not long for this world. Again observing all traffic laws (đ€) to the vets. I phoned them on my way and was taken straight into a room.
God I’m crying just writing this.
Less than half an hour later she passed on, while in my arms. She just looked up at me with the last bit of energy she had as if to say it’s okay, and peacefully went.
God. I miss her so, so much. She was there for me during the deterioration of my first marriage, through the dark times with my mental health, when I almost lost my second wife to meningitis. She always knew what to do.
I swear she hung on till I was with her. She definitely loved my wife, my children but I KNOW she loved me.
Ten days later I was taking all her unused food to the Cats Protection League, when I just had quick look around. Less than a week later we had a new furry overlord.

Edit
I’ve found two pic that show how much she liked me.

Of course they do. Cats are not dogs, they behave different, but if you speak cat it is obvious they love their people.

Cats are social people and love to cuddly their humans. They will purr, they will groom, they will snuggle. If sick they will be worried and try to make you better. If kitty gives slow blink this is sign of trust.
Cats like to be near their humans and mirror. If you do something kitty wants to do too. This is why they may sit on book or computer, they want to do thing too.
Not all cats are so affectionate or treat everyone same, but cats are very sweet loving creatures if you let them be. If you are used to dogs maybe this is not obvious, but if you speak cat it is.
